Fujitsu, AI Usage
Risk 1: Low
Issue: Fujitsu, the manufacturer of a ton of hardware, including scanners used by many accounting firms, suffered a breach that exposed customer data. No additional details have been released.
Resolution: With no details at this point, customers should watch for a notification from Fujitsu. If Financial Guardians hears of any updates, we will provide more details.
Risk 2: Non-Cybersecurity Warning
Issue: The SEC recently fined multiple investment firms for false advertising regarding the use of AI in their products and services. In some cases, the use was understated and, in others, the use was overstated. Total fines issued were in excess of $400,000.
